Results for AMC 8

The AMC 8 is a 25-question, 40-minute, multiple choice examination in middle school mathematics designed to promote the development of problem-solving skills.
In 2017, a total of 41 students received an award at the AMC 8.
  • The AMC 8 is a prestigious middle contest, with over 100,000 participants.
  • 15 students have placed in the top 1% of AMC 8 test-takers, while the remaining 26 students have placed in the top 5 - 10%.

Results for AMC 10/12

The AMC 10 and 12 are a 25-question, 75-minute, multiple choice examination in middle school mathematics designed to promote the development of problem-solving skills.
In 2018, Random Math had 21 students who were recognized as top scorers at the AMC 10/12
  • 3 students from Random Math scored in the top 1%, while a total of 7 students scored in the top 2.5%.
  • 14 Random Math students were recognized in the Achievement Roll, which is awarded to the top scoring middle school competitors at the AMC 10.

Results for AIME

The AIME  is the second exam in the series of exams used to challenge bright students on the path toward choosing the team that represents the United States at the International Mathematics Olympiad (IMO).
7 AIME qualifiers
  • In 2018, Random Math had 7 AIME qualifiers, who scored in the top 2.5% of all AMC 10 test-takers.
  • The AIME is a 3 hour long, 15 question examination from which top scorers are invited to take USA's national Olympiad.

Results for USA(J)MO

The USA(J)MO is the third test in a series of exams used to challenge bright students on the path toward choosing the team that represents the United States at the International Mathematics Olympiad (IMO).
In 2018, Random Math had its first USA(J)MO qualifier.
  • In 2018, 7th grader Nilay Mishra qualified for the USA Junior Math Olympiad with a score of 11/15 on the AIME.
  • The USA(J)MO is a 9 hour long, 6 problem proof- based contest split across 2 days.
