About

The Carnegie Mellon Informatics and Mathematics Competition (CMIMC Math) is a high-school mathematics competition hosted at Carnegie Mellon University. Students compete in a combination of individual and team rounds. Every selected student will be placed into a team of six in accordance with the competition format. Random Math Coaches will decide the team placement which can change at anytime.

Eligibility: Participation is open to students in high school and middle school. However, please note that students in Levels F and G generally may be selected since the competition is attended by top performers in high school.

The deadline to submit the interest form is February 2. Please note that submitting this form is not confirmation that you will be attending CMIMC - only an indication of interest. Students selected to represent Random Math at CMIMC will be contacted separately by February 9, so they can make necessary travel arrangements.

Commitment Deposit (to avoid last-minute disruptions): Selected students may be required to submit a refundable deposit (amount and payment method to be shared with selected students). Deposit policies (including no-show forfeiture and when it will be returned) will be communicated at selection time.
